Q. Do I need to MOT my lease car?

A. Since an MOT certificate is only required for vehicles more than 3 years old, if your lease term is 3 years or less you will not need to obtain a MOT certificate.

Q. Is car leasing insurance included in the rental price?

A. Via our partner Norwich Union, we can offer complimentary insurance cover for the first 7days of your lease. Norwich union is also able to offer some competitive rates for comprehensive cover for the full duration of your lease. If you prefer you may source your own comprehensive insurance cover.

Q. Can you explain 3 + 23 or 3 + 35 ?

A. Car leasing deals are usually calculated over a 2 year or 3 year term and deals are advertised as 3+23 or 3+35 contracts. The 3 stands for 3 payments in advance, followed by 23 or 35 monthly payments for the duration of the term.

Q. Who owns the car?

A. The finance company is the legal owner of the vehicle.

Q. What happens if I exceed the annual mileage?

A. Every lease car contract gives an excess mileage price. Any additional mileage would be charged at this rate. For example if the excess mileage tariff is 5p per mile, and you exceed the contract by 1000 miles, the finance company will invoice you for the sum of £50 +vat after the car has been returned.

Q. Are all lease cars brand new with no previous owners?

A. All lease cars on our site should be brand new UK cars via UK main dealerships unless otherwise stated.

Q. Is Road Tax included?

A. Road Fund License is included for the contract duration.

Q. Is the car covered by warranty?

A. All brand new lease cars come with the standard manufacturer warranty supplied at main dealer level.

Q. What is maintenance?

A. If the option of maintenance is included within the contract, this generally covers the annual car service and any wear and tear items which need replacing. (Damage is not included). Please check the full cover as some maintenance contracts exclude tyres and exhausts.

Q. Is maintenance beneficial to me?

A. You will need to assess the overall cost across the contract term. Take into account your expected mileage and the cars individual service schedule. Some customers choose maintenance as it spreads the cost out over the contract term.

Q. Are their any administration fees?

A. Some finance companies do charge an administration or document fee. Please check your quotation paperwork if you are unsure.

Q. Is delivery included?

A. All of our car leasing deals include free delivery to a UK mainland address of your choice.
